It is your responsibility to provide for your own travel insurance. It is imperative that you accomplish this prior to your arrival. MOst insurance companies will cover safari tours, but its always good to read the small print.

Thing to look out for with Travel Insurance

Activities Cover - Make sure that your Insurance policy covers you for all the activities that you are doing - Elephant riding, canoeing etc - check with your tour company for what cover you need.

Firearms cover - Some policies will not cover you if your guides use, or have the use of fire arms.

Contact with wild animals - check with your tour company to see if you will be incontact with any wild animals, and make sure that this is covered under your policy.
